I was curious about the actual origin of the word, turquoise and Miriam Webster, shared the following, "The French word 'turquois' means 'Turkish.' The mineral turquoise is thought to have its name from being first transported to the west through Turkey." The turquoise beads in these earrings are actually Czech Glass.
