Abalone, a Mollusk that is found in many different countries but plentiful here in the Pacific Northwest, produces a gorgeous shell of multidimensional light in shades of green, turquoise, blue, purple and pink. When I look into these gorgeous shells, I see the oceans that I love. I see sunrises and sunsets, the swirls that come with waves and I feel the calm that the comes over me when I go to the sea. In this piece, I have attached this gorgeous Abalone pendant to a Japanese Chirimen kimono cord and secured it with silk wrapped red leather. The pendant holds three stainless steel ornate rods that dangle. The pendant is held with a silver plated, ornate bail. On either side of the bail there are pewter roller beads. The end caps are stainless steel and the ornate toggle closure is made from pewter.
